ollawave is a 2.45GHz microwave skin tightening and contouring device from VENESYS. The energy passes through the epidermis with little absorption and selectively heats the collagen in the dermis and the subcutaneous fat layer, inducing immediate collagen contraction and collagen remodeling over the following months. A small handpiece for shallow layers (penetration depth of about 3mm), a large handpiece for deep layers (about 7mm), a shot mode that concentrates on small areas, and a rubbing mode that delivers energy evenly over wide areas allow the treatment to be tailored to each area and purpose. Contact Peltier cooling controls the skin surface temperature, while contact and motion sensors and an automatic output correction function (PFCS) protect the epidermis, keeping pain low and allowing an immediate return to daily life. It is used for facial tightening and contour refinement, fat volume reduction in the double chin and lower cheeks, body contouring of the abdomen and arms, and improvement of skin tone and texture.
